Guided chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda Forests

Uganda is justly famous as one the countries that have concetrations of primates.Vistors who trek Uganda forests are given the opportunity to follow chimpanzee vocalizations and other tell signs while tracking the wild chimpanzees. Some families of these primate groups are habituated to enable good friendly encounter. When located will take time viewing these forest apes up to limited time prescribed by your guide. Different terrains will be encountered and should be prepared for it. Tracking/Trekking chimpanzees take place in Kibale Forest national park, Queen Elizabeth national park in Kyambura gorge and in Budongo Forest near Murchison Falls national park. As track will have magical experiences with large family groups of chimpanzees, and other apes / monkeys. baboons, etc . In Uganda we do have more that 12 diurnal primate species on most trips. These will be complemented with other wildlife.

Guided Forest Walks/Giuded Bird Walks
Uganda has natural habittas Forest that harbor a number bird species . For a start the exciting forests will reveal the bueaty of Uganda birds. UGANDA Forest Reserves are one of the Extensive and ecological diverse forests of Africa. There are thousands pf plant species including the giants mahogany tiees in Budongo standing ove 60m and over 300 years old. Many of the bird species are endemic to these forests.

Uganda Forests harbor many bird species like the rare Black-bellied Seedcracker, the giant Great Blue Turaco, a magnificent adult Crowned Hawk-Eagle, Gray Parrot (wonderful to see these common cage birds flying wild over rainforest!), African Pied Hornbill, the rare Lesser (Green-tailed) Bristlebill, Yellow-mantled Weaver, and the highly elusive Green-backed Twinspot. Late afternoons at Jinja will view huge roost of straw-colored fruit bats and a wonderful pair of Bat Hawks.North of Kampala near Masindi town lies a gigatic forest hope one of the equatorial Forests still remaining intact. The forest has some great birds including Banded Snake-Eagle, White-headed and Spot-flanked barbets, Purple Glossy-Starling, and a stunning male Klaas' Cuckoo. If you make a acquaintance with this East Africa's vastest rainforest at the world-famous Royal Mile, one of Africa's highest rated forest birding sites. Highlights include great scope views of Blue-breasted Kingfisher; African Emerald Cuckoo; Sabine's Spinetail; localized White-thighed Hornbill; Golden-crowned Woodpecker; Spotted Greenbul; Lemon-bellied Crombec; Chestnut-capped, African Forest, and African Shrike flycatchers; the beautiful Superb Sunbird; and Crested Malimbe.

Chimpanzee Habituation
Chimpanzee habituation gives participants a unique opportunity to contribute the ongoing research of the chimapnzee communities in Africa. Kibale and Budongo are major habituation centers. This is the opportunity to track not yet habituated chimps - these delightful apes, more closely related to humans (human cousins) than to any other living creature, are tremendous fun to watch as they squabble and play in fruiting trees. This opportunity gives participants to observe life of these apes and their community life experiences
