7 Days Primates and Game viewing
Day 1: Kampala / Airport Transfer to Kibale
You will be met by your driver /guide at Entebbe International Airport in the morning or pick you from your hotel in Kampala who will drive you out of the airport. You will proceed the driving to Fort Portal with lunch stop on the way via Mubende. After lunch drive through the lush green countryside on Mityana-Mubende road to Fortportal stopping at some coffee holdings tea plantations and open swamp valleys. Check in at Ndali Lodge a well refurbished lodge in the countryside establishment. Or Stay at Fort Motel another comfortable newly refurbished hotel slightly cheaper than Ndali Lodge . Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Kibale Forest – Chimp tracking
After breakfast, will be driven to KAFRED and Eco tourism site Bigodi swamp to take natural walk exploring bird watching and other primate viewing. Enjoy unique view of crater lakes and other volcanic features. Afternoon after picnic lunch drive to Kibale Forest National Park famous for chimpanzee tracking. With local guides track chimps in their natural Forest in the shadows of the Rwenzori Mountains (the famed mist shrouded “Mountains of the Moon”) Kibale Forest is rich in animal life, including an astonishing 12 species of primates including chimps in this park have been recorded, the very localized red colobus and L'Hoest's monkeys. Tracking the chimpanzees our 'cousins' is a very interesting experience. The way they feed, climb trees, respond to humans, caring for their young ones leaves an imaginative dream to tell. Dinner and overnight will bet at your chosen establishement.
Day 3: Kibale -Fort Portal town – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast/lunch depart at your leisure for Queen Elizabeth National park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda, and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity under UNESCO auspices. . It borders on Lake George and Lake Edward as well as Kazinga Channel in the western area of the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
The park has attractive acacia-dotted Savannah which is a home for Buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, lion hyena etc which graze these peaceful acres .At the lake, there are Hippos and a wonderful diversity of birds. Because of the different habitats of the lakeshores and the broad Savannah, the variety seems endless. Catch a glimpse of water birds diving for fish, the Marabou stork, bee-eater and cheeky. Take and afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga channel. If time allows do evening game drive visiting the crater area and enjoy volcanic features and game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Jacana Safari Lodge/ Mweya safari lodge.
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park
The day begins with an early game drive. There are variety of animals like; lions, buffaloes, elephants, kobs, bushbucks and the rare leopards. Over 500 bird species have been identified here, making it a Mecca for bird-watchers. They include the black bee–eater, 11 different species of kingfisher and several falcons, eagles and other raptors. After visit Maragambo forest for forest walk and proceed to Bwindi. Arrive in the evening at Bwindi and proceed to check in at lake Kitandara tented camp. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5:
Gorilla tracking
After breakfast with packed lunch you will be led to the starting point where the local guides will lead you to the very family you will track gorillas. Track gorillas while seeing a variety of fauna. The time taken and the terrain vary according to the movement of these gentle giants. The thrill of meeting them face-to-face takes away the pain of some times long and arduous trek. Enjoy a close view of these primates as they undergo their daily activities. You will particularly enjoy the young ones as swing from branch to branch while the sliver back patrols to ensure the safety of the entire family. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Bwindi – Lake Mburo.
After Breakfast drive to Kampala with lunch stop on the way. Will be driven through the Kigezi highlands and passing through the farm lands of Ankole and the main feature is the long horned cows. Stopover on your way could be in Ankole grassland where long horned cattle are common sight. Proceed to lake Mburo National Park. If time allows do evening game drive. Check in at Mantana Luxury Tented Camp. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Lake Mburo – Kampala - Entebbe
Morning will take game drive looking for variety of game that include Zebra, buffaloes, antelopes, hyena, and many more. Continue to a boat ride on the lake for bird watching and more game viewing. Proceed for early lunch and proceed to Kampala or Entebbe airport if your airport falls on this day.. Stop at equator for memory photographing and picking a souvenir. Or. Will be dropped at your hotel.
End of Safari.
