Uganda Rwanda Relax Safari  22 Days

D1 : Airport Transfer

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport at will be met by our representative who doubles as your driver and guide, will drive you to Kampala city. To your hotel for overnight in hotel/lodge accommodation facility as per your budget.

D2: Kampala-Murchison Falls National Park

 After breakfast drive to Murchison falls. Visit Rhino Farm at Nakasongora for Rhino viewing and proceed, stop for lunch at Masindi town. After lunch proceed to Murchison falls. Visit the top of the falls an exciting point where millions of gallons of water squeeze in 6-7 meter gap with thunderous sound before falling down 40 meters forming placid river. Dinner and overnight in hotel/lodge accommodation facility as per your budget.

D3 : Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning take game drive looking for wildlife. Murchison Falls is the largest national park in the country and harbors different flora and fauna. Your game drive in the morning with a local guide who will assist you to sight wild game in the northern bank of River Nile where concentrations of game are in common sight of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, lions leopards hyenas and many bird species are a common sight. After lunch in the afternoon go for a boat cruise on the famous River Nile up to the bottom of falls viewing variety of game that throng along banks of the river. Chances of sighting the shoe bill stork are many though not a guarantee and many more bird species continue up to the bottom of the falls where you will see animals like schools of hippos, crocodiles and many species of birds dinner and overnight.

D4 : Murchison Falls National Park
Early Morning take  do another game drive .  Afternoon will be at leisure and relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight in hotel/lodge accommodation facility as per your budget.

D5 : Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest for  Chimpanzee
Drive to Kibale along side  for sight seeing of the escarpments of western Rift Valley.  Enjoy a lot of sight seeing as you overlook the mountains of Congo ,Rwenzori mountains and  /Kibale with packed lunch. Drive in one of the remotest parts of this country enjoying different forest environment and other savannah woodland vegetation plus communities along the road stop where you find local market to mix briefly with local people. Arrival will be a in the evening enjoy nice views of the mountains of the moon on clear days.

 Continue to Kibale National Park where you will settle in at Toro resort a budget facility or any other Camp.  Dinner and overnight in hotel/lodge accommodation facility as per your budget.

D6: Kibale Forest National Park  -

After breakfast visit Kanyanchu the park headquarter offices for your chimpanzee tracking  where you will see   other primates like the colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys plus other primates that share this forest with chimpanzees. The park also hosts over 320 species of birds including the yellow spotted nectar, yellow rumped tinker birds etc. It also has colorful butterflies; over 250 species have been spotted. For nature lovers, the dense forest is still intact you can see trees of different species. Track chimps in their natural habitat. Kibale Forest National Park is believed to have most concentration of primates in the world. Over 12 different species of primates including chimps in this park have been recorded. Enjoy a lot plant life with tall tropical tree species.

 Afternoon visit Bigodi swamp for natural walk. Visit the surrounding villages interacting with locals exploring the eco-tourism activities in the area like tea estates. 

D7: Kibale to Semuliki  National Park
 Morning after breakfast  proceed to Semuliki National park game drive visiting the Sempaya  hot springs and if possible visit the pygmies community – still forest gatherers that came from one of the Ituri forest inside Congo and sight seeing hot springs, rift Valley, primates watch  overnight Semuliki / Fort Portal. .  Dinner and overnight in hotel/lodge accommodation facility as per your budget.

D8:  Fort Portal  – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Morning  After lunch drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. Lunch packed or will be on the way in Kasese town. Drive along the foot of Mountain Rwenzori and on clear days enjoys its nice ice peaks that remain wonder on equator line. Stop for communities along the road stop where you find local market to mix briefly with local people. Dinner and overnight in hotel/lodge accommodation facility as per your budget.

D9:  Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early Breakfast in the morning, carryout game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You are likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas and leopards, bushbuck, waterbuck and stripped jackal, and of-course the several warthogs.
 
After lunch take boat cruise on Kazinga channel connecting lake George and Lake Edward viewing different game lion, elephant, buffalo and many more plus plenty of birdlife. Dinner andovernight in hotel/lodge accommodation facility as per your budget.

D10: Queen Elizabeth –  Ishasha
After breakfast you will  drive Kyambura gorge  to track chimpanzees or visit Maragambo Forest for nature walk. After picnic lunch drive to Ishasha  in to the southern sector of queen Elizabeth national park. Take  an evening game drive looking for climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Camp of Ishasha

D11:  Ishasha to   Kabale – Rwanda.
After morning game drive looking for climbing lions, will depart this interesting part of the country to Another fascinating one of Volovcanoes national park in Rwanda i the home of gorillas. overnight in hotel/lodge accommodation facility as per your budget.

D12 :Gorilla tracking Volcanoes national park
This will be day for gorilla tracking. After breakfast with packed lunch, you will be escorted to the starting point of tracking for briefing. Set off early with your guides to track the gorillas. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous track. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park
is often wet. Spend time in awe, watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each encounter is different and has it’s own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. Return to camp exhilarated to relive the encounter with friends over a drink. Enjoy your dinner and spend the night at  hotel.

 D13:  Volcanoes to Kigali
After break fast drive to Kigali (3 hours)  afternoon visit the genocide cites, museum and the Kigali city. Overnight.

D 14: Kigali to Lake Bunyonyi
At your leisure  proceed to Kabale and continue to Lake Bunyonyi. Check in at  Overland camp for budget . Evening will be at leisure at the  facility chosen.

Day15: Lake Bunyonyi

Morning will take boat ride visiting different islands with fascinating scenery . Visit some community projects. on Lake Bunyonyi to the Islands seeing a different bird species and other local community activities. View undulating terraced hills that make part of this country beautiful scenery once known as the Switzerland of Africa Afternoon will be at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

D 16: Bunyonyi -  – Ssese Islands

Morning after breakfast drive to Masaka town . Stopover on your way could be in Ankole grassland where long horned cattle are common sight. Continue northwards stopping at for snack in Masaka town and proceed to Bukakata port for ferry transfer to Ssese Islands on lake Victoria. Check in at Island club or Pearl Garden Beach Resort. Dinner and overnight.

D 17: Ssese Island
This is a day for your activities. Activities at the islands include sun bathing, beach activities, bird watching, sport fishing, nature walks, primate walks, community projects etc. You will choose what to do and pay directly. Dinner and overnight  at you facility.

D 18:   Ssese Island

This day is still for relaxing dinner and overnight.

 D19:   Ssese Island - Kampala

After breakfast will board the ferry back to Entebbe in the morning arriving at around mid day. Proceed to Kampala. Or drive back to Masaka . stop at the Equator crossing for memorable photo taking, Mpambire in Mpigi an art and craft center where drum making technology has been passed on from generation to generation. Stay night in Kampala.

D20:   Day will be for Jinja or  white water rafting

This day will be for visiting Jinja the source of river Nile and Bujali Falls. Or can be day for white water rafting – grade 5 rapids) Overnight will be  Hotel   in  Jinja /Kampala

D 22: Jinja/ Kampala - Entebbe Airport

Morning can be at leiusure or visit Kampala highlights/shopping before proceeding to  Entebbe, transfer to the airport for your homebound flight. End of Safari.

Pease note the safari cost will include:

  1. meals and accommodation(FB)
  2. gorilla permits 1 per person
  3. full time  safari driver/guides,
  4. boat cruises on in Murchison and Queen Elizabeth
  5. park entry fees, all game drives, boat/ launch trips,
  6. the applicable Government Taxes.

  8. Airport transfers.
  9.  chimp permits(2) per person – Kibale and  Kyambura

Excluded are:
