Day 1:ENTEBBE AIRPORT – KAMPALAp align="justify" class="style10">Arrive Entebbe International airport at your flight time. Meet and Greet with an driver/guide before transferring to Kampala for dinner and over night stay at your hotel of choice in Kampala
Day 2 :KAMPALA – JINJA-White Water Rafting
This day can be dedicated for white water rafting . OR After an early breakfast your driver/ guide will pick you from Hotel at 8:30 am from where you will drive eastwards to Jinja. Enjoy Viewing the Sugar and Tea plantations, fruit and craft markets along the road. A visit to Bujagali falls and after lunch proceed to the source of the Nile where it starts its long journey to Mediterranean Sea starts. Drive back to Kampala for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3: KAMPALA - MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Your driver/ guide will pick you from Hotel in Kampala at 8:00 am from where you will start the drive to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop over for lunch enroute in Masindi. Murchison Falls National park covers 3,840 sq km and has 76 mammal species and 450 bird species. Drive through the Nakasongora Rhino Sanctuary . View the rhinos in the wild. Then proceed to Murchison falls.
Continue the drive arriving Murchison falls in the evening,. Check in at the lodge or camp for dinner and over night stay.
Day 4: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Start the day with an early morning game drive. You will most likely be able to view those animals in wildlife African Savannah like giraffe, antelope, elephant and the Uganda Kob lion, buffalo etc.
Lunch break then take on an afternoon launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes you to the bottom of the thundering falls where you will see huge crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffalos, elephants and a variety of water birds such as herons, cormorants, bee eaters, kingfishers, skimmers, and fish eagles and with luck the rare shoebill stork. Hike to the top falls the Top of the falls” for a breath taking sight of the raging Nile as it forces its way through a rocky gap barely six meters wide. This is the point where the Nile River explodes through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a calm river Dinner and over night stay at lodging facilities
Day 5: MURCHISON FALLS – FORT PORTAL – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast, with your packed lunch set off for Fort Portal. Drive along the mountain ranges all the way to Fort portal. On the way you will see tea plantations of Toro tea palantations as you approach Fort portal you will experience the endless stretch and beauty of savanna grassland that disappears in a mirage.
Continue the drive to Kasese. Drive along the Rwenzori foot ranges and Savanna grasslands as you approach Queen Elizabeth National park that boasts of a variety of big game like; lions, elephants, buffaloes, Hyenas, Hippos, bushbucks, the comical warthogs and rare / elusive leopards. Check in at the lodge or hostel of your choice for dinner and over night.
Day 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Before sunrise embark on an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You will most likely meet grazing Hippos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, waterbucks, the elusive leopard and of course the several warthogs.
Lunch break then drive to the dock on the channel for an afternoon launch cruise on Kazinga channel that joins Lakes Edward and George. It is a waterway that is filled with schools of hippos and elephants, buffalos which can be seen at the banks. There is also a rich variety of birds on the channel. Dinner and over night the Ecology Institute hostel.
Day 7: QUEEN ELIZABETH – BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
Rise before the sun and drive to Kyambura Gorge for a thrilling Chimpanzee safari. The gorge is the natural home of chimpanzees. Your guided walk may last three to five hours and in addition to seeing the chimps, the trip may yield sightings of the colobus monkeys, baboons, red tailed and vervet monkeys, and other primates. It is important to note that the chimpanzee safari is subject to availability of permits and good weather because occasional flooding can make the trails impassable
Proceed to Bwindi via Ishasha – the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National park. This area is famous for the tree climbing lions, which with luck may be spotted on the large fig trees..
This drive to Bwindi takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. Bwindi National park is home of the rare mountain gorillas and other primates. Apart from gorillas, there are a wide variety of primates that may be seen. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it. Check in at your facility lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast set off early with your guides to track the gorillas. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a magnificent green swathe of dense rainforest, so ancient that survived the last ice age. A recently proclaimed world heritage site, its one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth and its unique, precious flora sustains roughly half of the world population of mountain gorillas – believed to number about 600. There is also a substantial chimpanzee population and research shows that Bwindi is the only forest in Africa in which these two apes live together. Return to camp exhilarated to relieve the encounter with friends over a drink. Dinner and overnight .
Day 9: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK – KAMPALA
After breakfast, return to Kampala. Along the way you will see the undulating hills of Ankole and the famous long-horned cattle. Stop over at the Equator for a photo shooting and drum makers or any crafts display centre for souvenirs before proceeding to Kampala for dinner and over night stay at your Hotel in Kampala.
Day 10: KAMPALA – ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Transfer to the airport will be at your leisure and catch up with your home bound flight.
