Bwindi Gorilla Mountain Trekking Safari (4 Days) Trekking Gorillas Twice

D1: KAMPALA - BWINDI GORILLA PARK.
Very early in the morning at 7:00 am you will picked from you hotel or residence and drive south west taking the Masaka Mbarara road to head to Bwindi the Gorilla sanctuary. The drive is long going through, grasslands, and banana plantations to reach the park in the late afternoon. You will stop at the Equator for photographs and in Mbarara for lunch to reach in the evening. Check in your lodge and then if you are not tired you may go for a walk to the neighboring community. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma homestead / Kitandara Lodge /Buhoma community.

D2: 1st DAY -MOUNTAIN GORILLA TRACKING IN THE BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
In the morning after your breakfast and with packed lunch you will be led to the park headquarters for briefing and then later on you will set off along the tracks in the thick forest to go search for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-8 hours before you encounter the Gorillas. The walk is tiresome however meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into direct their eyes, is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Dinner and overnight at / Buhoma Lodge (homestead) /Kitandara Lodge /Buhoma community.

D3: 2ND DAY MOUNTAIN GORILLA TRACKING IN THE BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
Morning after breakfast with packed lunch, you will again be driven to the park offices for  2nd gorilla encounter. You will be allocated different family to track.  Your will then be off from the park offices to begin your adventure. A briefing from your local guide and then it’s off! The time taken and the terrain varies (2- 8 hours) this depends on the movement of these gentle giants.   Each encounter is different and has its own rewards.  Return to your accommodation facility .  Dinner and overnight stay at / Buhoma Lodge (homestead) /Kitandara Lodge /Buhoma community.

(NOTE: Tracking second time may not be an easy excersise, who ever is to attemp must be sure of his physical fitteness and knows that will not loose his/her funds for nothing. When you attempt and fail there will be no any sort of refund )

Alternatively for those who may not visit the gorillas the second time have got alternatives of natural walk in the Bwindi park for birding and sight seein plus forest walks. OR will take Buhoma community walk another  yet  fantastic walk different of its kind. It takes you through the villages around Buhoma communities that will lead you to women hand crafts shop  tea and coffee farms traditional healer, distillation, community school or Batwa communities who used to stay in the Bwindi Forest now settled among other indigenous people.

D4: RETURN TO KAMPALA
In the morning after your breakfast and then packing your bags will start on the Journey back to Kampala. The drive will take you to stop in Mbarara for lunch and then proceed to reach Kampala in the Evening.
