14 Days Gorilla Chimpanzee Trekking Rwanda, Wildlife Safari in Uganda

 Day 1:  Arrival In Kigali
On  arrival at Kanombe International Airport, you will be transferred to your Hotel for dinner and overnight stay at  Gorilla Golf Hotel for up market , Hotel Chezlando for middle and Top tower hotel for budget  of your choice hotel

Day 2: Kigali City Tour – Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will set out for the Kigali City tour. Visit the Genocide Memorial sites and the local village markets for a true Rwandan Cultural experience. Also visit the National cultural Museum in Butare and the Old King’s palace in Nyanza. Proceed with your journey to Nyungwe where you will reach in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe forest lodge for up market , Peace guest house for middle and Gisakura Guest house for budget

Day 3:  Chimpanzee Tracking In Nyungwe Forest
Set out before day light for a chimpanzee tracking experience in Nyungwe Forest National Park. Before the activity, activity, you will first get the briefing from the Park rangers who will in details explain to you the rules for Chimpanzee trekking. When it comes to day light, you will already be in the forest. Also look out for the colobus monkeys, Varvet monkeys and so many other primates. Return to your lodge for lunch and refreshments and then later in the afternoon, go for the canopy walk to search for different bird species. Dinner and overnight

Day 4: Nyungwe Forest  – Ruhengeri
After breakfast, you will transfer to Ruhengeri. Spend the evening resting or alternatively you can go for a short Ruhengeri cultural tour. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for up market ,Le Bambou for middle and Kinigi Guest House for budget

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking Safari Day
After a fully served breakfast, you will report to the ORTPN offices for registration and briefing on the Gorilla tracking rules. After this, you will be allocated your Gorilla group and you will penetrate deep in the forest to search for these rare Mountain Gorillas. This experience is memorable and can not be forgotten easily. You can take as many pictures as you want and then after this, return back to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. This will offer you stunning panoramic views of the volcanic mountains. Dinner and overnight

Day 6: Ruhengeri – Lake Bunyonyi Tour
After breakfast, you will cross to Uganda and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival, you will  take a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to the Islands seeing a different bird species and other local community activities. View undulating terraced hills that make part of this country beautiful scenery once known as the Switzerland of Africa. Explore different islands for bird watching. Take part in the community activities while enjoying spectacular sight seeing of terraced hills of Kigezi highlands.. Dinner and overnight stay at at Bird nest lodge lake bunyonyi  for up market, Bunyonyi  overland resort for middle    and crater bay cottages for budget

Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi-  Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route to the park, you will have a game drive in the Ishasha sector where you will be able to see the rare tree climbing lions and also a lot of bird species. Afternoon have a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel for more game viewing especially the water loving animals. Dinner and overnight at at katara lodge for upmarket, simba  safari camp for middle and kazinga channel view resort  for budget

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park Wildlife Safari
Early Breakfast in the morning, carryout game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You are likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas and leopards, bushbuck, waterbuck and stripped jackal, and of-course the several warthogs.
After lunch take boat cruise on Kazinga channel connecting lake George and Lake Edward viewing different game lion, elephant, buffalo and many more plus plenty of birdlife. Dinner and overnight

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park  – Fort Portal/ Kibale
After breakfast you will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park with a game drive enroute to Fort portal town. Upon arrival, you will go for the tour and visit the crater regions. Also visit the cultural sites of Amabere Ganyina mwiru. Dinner and overnight at primate lodge for upmarket  , kibale guest cottages : for middle and  Tinka Homestead  for budget facility

Day 10:  Fort Portal/ Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Safari
Morning after break fast proceed to the Kanyanchu the park headquarter offices where chimpanzee tracking where you will see other primates like the colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys plus other primates that share this forest with chimpanzees. The park also hosts over 320 species of birds including the yellow spotted nectar, yellow rumped tinker birds etc. It also has colorful butterflies; over 250 species have been spotted. For nature lovers, the dense forest is still intact you can see trees of different species. Track chimps in their natural habitat. Kibale Forest National Park is believed to have most concentration of primates in the world. Over 12 different species of primates including chimps in this park have been recorded. Enjoy a lot plant life with tall tropical trees.

After lunch, visit  Bigodi swamp for natural walk famous for different primates and birds. Where you will see primates like the colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys plus other primates that share this eco site . The Swamp  also hosts many species of birds including the yellow spotted nectar, yellow rumped tinker birds etc. It also has colorful butterflies; over 250 species have been spotted. For nature lovers, the dense forest is still intact you can see trees of different species Visit the surrounding villages interacting with locals exploring the eco-tourism activities in the area like tea estates. Dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Fort Portal/ Kibale-  Murchison Falls National Park Adventure Tour
After breakfast you will leave Fort portal town and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park for a lifetime experience. This is a long day’s drive and you will pass through the homesteads of Hoima which will offer you with insights of the true Ugandan culture. Day 12:  Murchison Falls National Park Wildlife Safari
Early morning take game drive looking for wildlife. Murchison Falls is the largest national park in the country and harbors different flora and fauna. Your game drive in the morning with a local guide who will assist you to sight wild game in the northern bank of River Nile where concentrations of game are in common sight of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, lions leopards hyenas and many bird species are a common sight.

After lunch in the afternoon go for a boat cruise on the famous River Nile up to the bottom of falls viewing variety of game that throng along banks of the river. Chances of sighting the shoe bill stork are many though not a guarantee and many more bird species continue up to the bottom of the falls where you will see animals like schools of hippos, crocodiles and many species of birds. Visit the top of the falls an exciting point where millions of gallons of water squeeze in 6-7 meter gap with thunderous sound before falling down 40 meters forming placid river.  dinner and overnight

Day 13: Murchison Falls National Park – Kampala
After breakfast, you will transfer to Kampala with  lunch stop on the way . dinner and overnight at  Serena Hotel for up market , Metropole Hotel  for middle range , Fair way for budget facility.

Day 14, White Water Rafting  – Jinja Adventure Tour 
Fully served breakfast in the morning before setting out for your white water rafting activity on the River Nile. Spend the morning (Half day ) white water rafting and in the afternoon. In the evening, transfer back to Kampala End of Safari.
