8 Days Uganda Chimpanzee , Gorilla ,Wildlife safari

Day 1:  Kampala – Fort Portal / Kibale
Travel Hemispheres staff will meet you at  Entebbe air port  OR from Kampala and start the drive  through and be driven to Fort Portal/Kibale. Proceed on road driving in the green countryside on Mityana-Mubende road to Fort Portal. On the way will view   some coffee holdings tea plantations and open swamp valleys. Dinner and overnight at primate lodge for, kibale guest cottages : for middle and  Tinka Homestead  for budget facility

  Day 2 : Fort portal/ Kibale Forest National  Park
Morning after break fast proceed to the Kanyanchu the park headquarter offices where chimpanzee tracking where you will see other primates like the colobus monkeys, vervet  monkeys plus other primates that share this forest with chimpanzees. The park also hosts over 320 species of birds including the yellow spotted nectar, yellow rumped tinker birds etc. It also has colorful butterflies; over 250 species have been spotted. For nature lovers, the dense forest is still intact you can see trees of different species. Track chimps in their natural habitat. Kibale Forest National Park is believed to have most concentration of primates in the world. Over 12 different species of primates including chimps in this park have been recorded. Enjoy a lot plant life with tall tropical trees.

After lunch, visit  Bigodi swamp for natural walk famous for different primates and birds. Where you will see primates like the colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys plus other primates that share this eco site . The Swamp  also hosts many species of birds including the yellow spotted nectar, yellow rumped tinker birds etc. It also has colorful butterflies; over 250 species have been spotted. For nature lovers, the dense forest is still intact you can see trees of different species Visit the surrounding villages interacting with locals exploring the eco-tourism activities in the area like tea estates. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast you will drive to  Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort Portal town. Take a walk to the Kings Palace for cultural enrichment of Batoro community norms. After Lunch will be driven to Queen Ellizabeth  Park  .Dinner and overnight at katara lodge for upmarket, simba  safari camp  for middle and kazinga channel view resort for budget .

Day 4:  Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early Breakfast in the morning, carryout game drive to catch-up with the early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. You are likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas and leopards, bushbuck, waterbuck and stripped jackal, and of-course the several warthogs.
After lunch take boat cruise on Kazinga channel connecting lake George and Lake Edward viewing different game lion, elephant, buffalo and many more plus plenty of birdlife. Dinner and overnight

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth / Ishasha – Bwindi
After break fast drive to Ishasha  in to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National park where  an evening game drive will be carried out looking for climbing lions.  After continue to Bwindi Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at silver back lodge for up market , Gift of nature lodge for middle and   Ruhija community rest camp for budget

Day 6: Gorilla tracking  Bwindi Forest National park
This will be day for gorilla tracking. After breakfast with packed lunch, you will be escorted to the starting point of tracking for briefing. Set off early with your guides to track the gorillas. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous track. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park

is often wet. Spend time in awe, watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display. Enjoy your dinner and spend the night

Day 7: Bwindi – Bunyonyi
Morning after breakfast  proceed to Lake Bunyonyi . Relax at this golden lake of many islands and lots of birdlife with best weather conditions atmospheres.  Dinner and overnight stay at Bird nest lodge lake bunyonyi  for up, Bunyonyi  overland resort for middle and crater bay cottages for budget

Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi – Kampala / Entebbe
Morning take a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi to the Islands seeing a different bird species and other local community activities. View undulating terraced hills that make part of this country beautiful scenery once known as the Switzerland of Africa. Explore different islands for bird watching. Take part in the community activities while enjoying spectacular sight seeing of terraced hills of Kigezi highlands. After boat ride  proceed to Kampala with lunch stop on the way. Arrival will be in the evening. END OF SAFARI
