Big Five Game Viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its wide range of wildlife. The park is home to elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, and hippos. You can spot most of them during game drives.

The Kasenyi plains are the best place to see lions and large herds of Uganda kob. In the Mweya sector, you find hippos and crocodiles along the Kazinga Channel. Taking a boat ride here allows you to see animals along the banks at close range.

If you are interested in tree climbing lions, the Ishasha sector is the highlight. These lions rest on fig tree branches during the day, a rare sight in Africa.

Game drives work best early in the morning or late afternoon when animals are more active. Carry binoculars to improve your viewing.

Accommodation options range from budget lodges to luxury camps, giving you choices based on your travel style.
