Travel Hemispheres have been arranging birding tours combined with gorilla trekking safari for the last 15 years  so you are in  good hands. Gorilla trekking in Uganda is God given treasure. With approximately 1000 mountain gorillas living in the impenetrable forests, Uganda is home to more than half of the world’s total population of mountain gorillas. The majority is found in different areas of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourism destinations in Africa. A small number lives on the lower slopes of the volcanoes in  In Rwanda and Congo and in Mgahinga National Park . Because these forests are dense with great undergrowth provide good habitat for many bird species . Bwindi National park and around Mubwindi swamp at Ruhija is where your birding safari  will focus and will record  many Albertine endemic species .
